What I am going to do with my life is an attractive article, from the title people can make embedded question to her or his self, about their future. The nice title is to build our spirit and to open human mind to think hardly what will he or she doing now to raise a bright future next. An attractive title to attract the reader read deeply.
Education is the first key to answer modern life demands. I agree with the author statement that education is not only a right choice for a young person, but also it is an essential part of success in life and career. Education is the right choice for human to be success and useful life. Yet, education is not only the one point to be success. Human effort is the other key to raise success without effort knowledge that human get from educator can be useless, because the knowledge is not implicated in a field and effort is the way to get success. Education is the brain and effort is the machine that synergy well to raise success. I think “knowledge is power” is not the old statement but it is the whole period statement. People use this statement in a whole period to push their self up. If the author state “knowledge is power” is the old statement he should prove this statement with a valid data, such as who is the speaker that state this statement? What book that state this statement? And when period or years the speaker states this statement? It is better to give the source of each other statement. People can build independent value from this statement. Independent value is one important think than just be a follower.
Education can be applicant in the collage field as a small reproduction of the school of live. In college students are drilling to growing as an individual. The writer state that his collage does not have physical trials. Maybe some collage in western does not have physical trials period when they are first day come to collage. Yet, western culture little bit different with Indonesia culture in the first day of collage. Some Indonesia collage has physical trials that called as MOS (orientation period of students). It is usually hold three first days in collage. In this period students are drilled whit some activities, include physical trials. Yet, not all of collages do this orientation period of students with physical trials.
I suggest to the author to give some example of each point in the third paragraph so that the reader can means deeply and develop they self in collage and also some high school graduates can more interest to joint in collage if they are know the real illustration in the example.
The American education system is one of the brilliant systems to build creativity and independent thinking among the students. American curriculum gives the students chance to develop their self and choose their field interest area so that learning can more enjoy. The first statement in the fourth paragraph, the author try to comparing America education with any other country, but in the content of the fourth paragraph, the reader not found the comparing between two or more countries. The author focuses on the American education system.
I agree with the author statement that education in collage does not stop at the classroom, but rather continues through internship and extracurricular activities. Interaction among people is one important thing to raise success. Students should combine their ability in the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills. Extracurricular is one field to applicants the practical skills it little bit more fun and entertaining than learn in the classroom. It is one chance to be success person and truly dreamt. I little bit disagree with the writer statement in the sixth paragraph.” This chance opens many interesting roads, but there is only one choose” according the author idea. I think every chance can be developing not only for one choose but also can open the other choice. If we have creativity the chance that faced will be open for some choices.
Some day, collage education becomes human lottery ticket for the future success. Yet, it neither cannot guaranty fully for human future, if human not prepare from now. Effort and pray are the other lottery to be success. By combining those three element: education, effort and pray are better to achieve success in the future, because people never know what will facing them tomorrow.
